Danield M. Field died in Coulterville on August 5, 1902 at the age of 75. His grave marker is shown.

Merritt Wells Thomas was born January 27, 1894 in Bingham Utah. In 1900 his family moved to San Francisco and then in 1910 to Mt. Bullion Mariposa County. I found his election notice in the Mariposa Gazette in November 1922. I also found State records that show him as Constable of Mariposa Co. Township No. 3 Mt. Bullion in 1924, 1928, 1938 and 1942.
