Constable Table Bluff Township (Loleta) is made of sterling silver with hard fired blue enamel and hand engraved. Circa 1910.

Dates on photo are when he was Chief of the Volunteer Fire Dept.
He was also a Game Warden, Marshall and Sheriff of Humboldt County.

Town Marshal Ferndale shield, sterling silver, hand engraved, hard fired black enamel, circa 1893. Ferndale was incorporated as a Town in 1893. The population listed in the census of 1900 was 846. In 1907 the Town Marshal was I. B. Barnes.




City Marshal Eureka shield, sterling silver, hand engraved, hard fired black enamel lettering. The first City Marshal for Eureka was appointed in 1858. On June 9, 1887 Ordinance 110 specifically designated the City Marshal as the ex-officio police chief. In 1895 the title “City Marshal” was eliminated and the position of “Chief of Police” was created.

Blue Lake, CA Chief of Police badge last worn by Dennis Pecaut. He said it had been worn by several Chief’s before the department went to a more modern style.

Possibly the finest F&G badge known.
T. M. Brown Sheriff Humboldt Co. shield., made of sterling silver. He was sheriff from 1865 to 1867 and had previously served as the last sheriff of Klamath Co. CA, the only county in California to go defunct.
