This a marvelous old Railroad Policeman's badge bearing the Ohio State Seal in the center and the words MANSFIELD POLICE above and below the Seal. On the side are the initials: P.F.W. & C.R.R. ( PITTSBURGH, FORT WAYNE AND CHICAGO
RAILROAD) and on the right are: N.Y.P. & O.R.R. ( THE NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA AND OHIO RAILROAD).
The latter became part of Erie Railroad, as did the first one for a while, but that history is somewhat sketchy.
