10k gold presentation badge. Used as an invitation to the Annual Concert & Ball of the Widows & Orphans Aid Association - Civic Auditorium - Feb. 9,- 1929


Captain Daniel J. O'Brien's Executive Dept. 14k gold jeweler made badge. Captains in the Executive Department were equivalent to Deputy Chief today. He later served as Chief of Police.
Upon retiring from SFPD Chief O'Brien accepted the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles a position which at the time had police powers. Badge is jeweler made and is 10k gold.

Daniel J. O'Brien was born in August of 1875 and joined the San Francisco P.D. on Dec. 30, 1908. He retired as Chief of Police on Dec. 29, 1928 and accepted the position of Deputy Director of the California DMV. He died in October 1933.

a framed "Past Marshals and Chiefs of Police" collage. These were a tradition in the SFPD and each new police chief would be presented one with his picture added. They were hand made by the department photographer. Every marshal and chiefs photo was individually mounted
