2nd issue Brooklyn Metropolitan Police 1857-1870

This badge is a 3rd issue Brooklyn, NY circa 1870-1892 with applied copper numbers.

Thanks to Vice Principal Don for letting me add this badge to my collection.  He shared with me that his family had,
" Three Brooklyn boys that wore an NYPD shield for over 70 years combined."
