Oakland Police Inspector #244, worn by Inspector Clyde Archibald Crosswell who was appointed 12-1-22.  Sterling silver, hand engraved with hard fired enamel lettering.  The 1930 census shows him as Inspector Police.

Allen  A. Teir wore badge 128 and was appointed to the force on  4-25-1927.  Born in Finland in 1902, he died in Seattle in 1954.

Michael Joseph O'Reilly wore badge #85.  He was born in Kilkenny Ireland in April 1,1877.  Died Aug 14, 1943 in Alameda.  He was first appointed to the OPD October 10, 1906.  In 1919 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
The 1921 City Directory lists him as a Corporal and the 1922 Directory as a Sergeant.
